Question about certain elements that might be considered clich�?

its has been my experience that people can relate better to a character that is more like them, ordinary. ( or maybe even less then ordinary.) On the other had there are people out there who read books to Escape reality, they wanna see something extra-ordinary. They wanna be taken to another world with extravagant queens and dastardly kings. With great evil and even greater triumph. So i propose to you this. Why not do both why not make him nobody and let your readers watch him turn it to somebody, all you gotta do is decide what it is he will become and make the journey to that identity interesting, fun, meaningful and most importantly believable
